Commercial Projects Underway
Imperial County is seeing strong commercial momentum with multiple projects underway, including the East Port Gateway Center, which will feature a new truck and travel center, restaurant, office space, and future hotel and retail development. Additional growth is taking place at the Calexico Gateway Center with a truck stop, hotel, restaurants, fast food options, and a convenience store—strengthening services for travelers, workers, and cross-border commerce.
Industrial Projects Underway
There is also strong industrial growth in Imperial County with multiple projects underway, including the East Port Gateway Center and the Calexico Gateway Center. Phase 1 developments have delivered more than 430,000 square feet of new industrial space by Q3 2024, with additional phases planned for future expansion. The JEX Industrial Center adds further momentum with a 30-acre site anchored by a 100,000-square-foot distribution facility.
